Here is a list of the software that I am using while learning to develope games and other programmes
in VB.net. Some of these are only required to ensure that other software works correctly, Visual C# as a
prime example of software that is needed but a programme of which I have never used while learning
games programming.

Visual VB.Net Express Edition 2005
Easily design great looking and easy-to-use applications using the intuitive, drag-and-drop interface designer.
This is the software that I use to create games using microsofts XNA Platform, It's simple and easy to use
giving you an insite into what goes into programming, it's a great place to start because of how simple it
is to learn. You MUST also validate Visual VB.Net Express Edition 2005, don't worry, it's free software.
This software can also be installed at any time regardless of when you install .net framework, DirectX SDK,
Visual C# + SP1 and XNA developer centre.

The Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 (x86) redistributable package installs the
.NET Framework runtime and associated files required to run applications developed to target the
.NET Framework v2.0.
This file is required to make games using VB.Net Express 2005 in XNA, this file MUST be downloaded and
installed first.

DirectX Software Development Kit
August 2006
Download the complete DirectX SDK, which contains the DirectX Runtime and all DirectX software required
to create DirectX compliant applications in C/C++ and C#.
This file is required to make games using VB.Net Express 2005 in XNA, this file MUST be downloaded and
installed after the .Net framwork. You MUST also validate your version of Windows first before you
can download the SDK.

Visual C# Express Edition 2005
Easily design great looking and easy-to-use applications using the intuitive, drag-and-drop interface designer.
This file is required to make games using VB.Net Express 2005 in XNA, this file MUST be downloaded and
installed after the DirectX Software Development Kit. You MUST also validate Visual C# Express Edition 2005,
don't worry, it's free software. You'll also need Service Pack 1.

XNA Game Studio Express
XNA Game Studio Express enables hobbyists, academics, and small, independent game developers to easily create
video games for Windows and the Xbox 360 console using optimized cross-platform gaming libraries based on .NET.
This release is an update of the 1.0 version which contains improved functionality along with new features.
This release is supported on Windows Vista. Combined with an active membership in the XNA Creators Club (available
from Xbox Live Marketplace), you can also create, debug, and play games on your Xbox 360 console.
This file is required to make games using VB.Net Express 2005 in XNA, this file MUST be downloaded and
installed after the Visual C# Express Edition 2005 and the SP1.
